Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a EHS Specialist to join our West Hartford, CT team. Our innovative and growing company is hiring for an EHS Specialist. 

Responsibilities

•Prepare reports for all Environmental Health and Safety programs as required by Federal, State and Local agencies.
•Assist in plant-wide compliance efforts with federal, state/local environmental laws and regulations.
•Maintain all EHS training documentation as required by corporate and federal/state standards.
•Identify and organize sources of training and training documentation.
•Work with department supervisors to facilitate investigations of ergonomic injuries, illnesses, and pain complaints.
•Consult and support management, engineering or any other involved party with the design, organization and operation of workplaces, tools and methods used in the operation of the facility.
•Conduct Job Safety Analysis and make recommendations to reduce risk to employees. 
•Support the EHS team with operating the wastewater treatment system. 
•Perform Industrial Hygiene and Environmental sampling.
•Perform area Risk Assessments as necessary throughout the facility. 

Qualifications

•Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a closely related field.


Licensing or Certifications for EHS Specialist:
•CPR, ASP, CSP, OSHA, CHST, CIH, CMSP, OHST, ISO, EHS
•Bachelor's and University Degree in Health, Engineering, Industrial, Science, Education, Technical, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Manufacturing, Management
