Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Commercial Digital Health Strategy is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive innovation, growth, and operational excellence in the intersection of digital health and diagnostics with a focus on large oncology and traditional health systems accounts.
This role requires deep expertise in both the diagnostic landscape and digital health technologies, alongside the ability to lead cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, and identify emerging opportunities for transformative healthcare solutions. Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive digital health strategy in diagnostics. Identify key trends in digital health, AI, diagnostics technology, and data analytics to inform strategy. Build and drive a roadmap that aligns with organizational goals and emerging market opportunities. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of digital health initiatives. Manage digital partnerships as commercial lead with healthcare providers, technology vendors, payers, and other key stakeholders in the digital health ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities:
- Commercial lead to develop strategy and execution capabilities to prioritize interoperability projects and updates, vendor management (EHR/CRM/PHM), contract negotiation and compliance
- Develop strategies at scale to increase connectivity and revenue within Cancer Centers and IDNs across customer platform capabilities
- Work closely with marketing and managed care to develop relevant strategies to enable health IT optimization
- Lead field team of Digital Health Account Executives to identify opportunities, negotiate agreements and drive the integration of technology and services within oncology and health system customers to improve the value of oncology care delivery with customers and patients
- Build, develop and lead a team to partner with account leads (national or field) to align with account plan, client engagement including CIO, CMIO, service line leaders and technology decision makers to execute digital health strategies including interoperability (establish and maintain), workflow assessment and improvement, care pathways and standardized protocols, working within customer CRM/PHM/EHR systems and establishing data agreements
- Monitor and collect market intelligence and trends to improve strategy and collaboration
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 12+ years’ experience including 7+ years’ management experience
- Proven track record of launching and scaling digital health solutions in complex markets
- Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Effectively develops business cases with compelling economic value
- Deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems, including reimbursement, provider workflows, and patient engagement
- Experience in marketing, strategy, and/or digital health
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executives, partners, and stakeholders in the oncology and digital heath ecosystems
- Proven ability to work well with and influence peers, marketing, sales teams and management
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Expertise in digital health solutions and their integration into clinical environments
- Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills
- Proficient with MS Office programs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of pathology, oncology, hematology or clinical diagnostics
- Strong understanding of diagnostics and the evolving competitive landscape
- Deep customer and market knowledge
Travel: 30% including overnight travel
