Overview

International Data Corporation (IDC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced OD Business Partner  to lead its HR operations globally. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing IDC’s transformation agenda, building organizational capability in new markets, and driving HR excellence across the company. This position is suited for an innovative and strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, transformative environments and possesses a deep understanding of human resources fundamentals.

 

This contract position will be a remote/hybrid role with a preferred location of Needham, the NYC metropolitan area, or a location in the central time zone.

 

This is a contract position reporting to the EVP of Transformation Business Operations. 

Contract length:  minimum 6 months. The duration and terms of the contract will be discussed with selected candidates.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a global HR strategy aligned with IDC’s business objectives, focusing on growth in emerging markets and fostering organizational agility.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive the company’s transformation agenda, ensuring HR initiatives support overall strategic goals.
  • Analyze market trends and workforce data to inform talent strategies that enable IDC to remain competitive and adaptive in dynamic industry conditions.

Building Capability in New Markets

  • Lead efforts to establish and grow organizational presence in new geographical markets by designing talent acquisition and retention strategies specific to those regions.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to ensure HR practices reflect local labor laws, cultural considerations, and market dynamics.
  • Implement robust onboarding programs to integrate talent from diverse backgrounds into IDC’s culture and operations.

HR Transformation and Change Management

  • Champion change management initiatives, ensuring seamless adoption of new processes, systems, and cultural shifts.
  • Promote a mindset of continuous improvement within HR operations by leveraging technology and data-driven insights.
  • Facilitate organizational development programs that prepare leaders and employees for transformative business goals.

Compensation Planning

  • Assess compensation programs to ensure they attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • Support annual compensation planning cycles in partnership with the Total Rewards Center of Excellence

Performance Management

  • Support performance management systems that align individual and team contributions with company objectives.
  • Provide guidance to managers on setting clear performance goals and conducting constructive reviews.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Set expectations with leaders for driving performance expectations.

Coaching and Leadership Development

  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, guiding them on talent management, organizational design, and leadership challenges.
  • Implement leadership development programs to nurture a pipeline of future leaders within the organization.
  • Foster a culture of mentorship and collaboration across all levels of the company.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a focus on global HR operations.
  • Proven track record of driving business results through HR strategies in transformative and growth-oriented environments.
  • Strong understanding of compensation planning, performance management systems, and change management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams and cultures.
  • Proficiency in HR technology platforms and data analytics tools.
