As a process control engineer, you will be at the heart of our cutting-edge production processes, driving efficiency and consistency. Your role will be pivotal in designing and implementing advanced control systems that ensure top-notch product quality and minimize waste, leading to significant cost savings. By harnessing real-time monitoring and adjustments, you will help prevent downtime and boost overall productivity.   • Manage Process Control Projects: Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, including design, cost estimation, budgeting, and project management.

  • Troubleshoot and Support: Assist operations and maintenance in troubleshooting issues with existing process control systems and provide support to other departments as needed.

  • Upgrade Systems: Collaborate with the team to upgrade obsolete process control (OT) computer systems.

  • Ensure Safety: Promote a safe work environment throughout the company.

  • Supplier and Contractor Interaction: Directly interact with suppliers and contractors for services and equipment, and work with procurement to negotiate prices and deliveries.

  • Leadership and Teamwork: Provide professional leadership for successful project designs and installations, and work as part of a team with engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing personnel.

  • Reporting and Communication: Submit periodic project status reports, maintain accurate project cost information, and communicate with suppliers, contractors, and other departments.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering preferred or commensurate experience.

  • Ability to generate and evaluate technical specifications for electrical systems.

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and resolving process control problems and issues.

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of capital projects ($0K-$100K) from the feasibility through execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with personnel at all levels within an organization.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, tact and diplomacy at all levels for dealing with suppliers and building/leading teams.

  • For all U.S. positions: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.

Preferred:

  • 1 or more years of experience with programming, upgrading, installing and designing industrial process control systems preferred.

  • Experience with power distribution experience preferred.
