Responsibilities

Basic Purpose

Working independently under minimal supervision, the Systems and Development Analyst I, II, and III conducts analysis, creates system specifications, develops, evaluates, and implements engineering, scientific and business applications, operating systems, and file/database servers. Utilizes existing or innovative technology in the automation of processes. Evaluates software packages and provides recommendations to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the System & Development Analyst

  • Provides technical support; problem determination and investigation; implementation of software patches and upgrades for commercial (vendor) applications. Support client server packages both thick and thin clients, and web applications. Conducts research and fact-finding to develop or modify application programs; work with vendors to review quality, adaptability, and compatibility of their products.
  • Provides functional and technical responsibility for applications involving multiple support personnel that is critical to the operation of the business; or serves as a functional or technical leader or provides extensive knowledge and skills in a unique technical (modular) area.
  • Designs, codes, evaluates, documents, implements, and maintains moderately complex application programs and interfaces.
  • Provides customer support for package software and associated interfaces. Works with vendors to resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Consults with product and application users to evaluate user requests for new or modified computer applications and associated interfaces to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current systems and computer capabilities.
  • Research and analyze strategies, programs, and processes across and between all corporate functions.
  • Performs basic system analysis and design functions, oversee critical development issues, research, and analyze data.
  • May guide other analysts in the completion of assigned projects.
  • Provides technical input to assist in development of project planning.
  • Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Serves as a functional and/or technical leader and provides extensive knowledge and skills in a unique technical (modular) area.
  • May lead and guide other analysts or teams in the completion of assigned projects and tasks.
  • May lead training / knowledge transfer to other analysts or teams.

Requirements

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment for the S&D Analyst I, II, III

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems (MIS), or computer science or bachelor’s degree in business administration (BBA) or accounting (BS) or related technical / business field or equivalent work experience. (Typically, four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Desired

  • Basic knowledge of development, troubleshooting, debugging, testing, and implementation in SaaS – Software as a Service cloud system.
  • Basic knowledge of relational database technology.
  • Basic knowledge of information technology terms, equipment, systems, functions, and major vendors.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently while working in a remote team environment.
  • Availability for periodic on-call responsibilities.
  • Business knowledge/experience with financial, project portfolio management and supply chain management applications, processes, and procedures, in one or more of the following systems: Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle EBS, Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS) and Azure Dev Ops; preferred.
  • Experience integrating Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) solutions within an environment with strong change and release management processes and procedures.
  • Technical knowledge with direct experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud, Project Portfolio Management, Oracle EBS, Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS) and Azure Dev Ops.
  • Technical knowledge in .NET and other current computing programming languages.
  • Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.

In addition to the above, S&D Analyst II and III will include the following requirements:

  • A minimum of two or more years’ work experience in systems analysis or software application development to include functional Financials and/or Supply Chain Management business analytics

Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. No special physical demands are required.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $68,300 (Min) to $106,000 (Mid); Up to 12% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
