Position Summary
The Financial Reporting AccountantI reports to the Financial Reporting Manager and is responsible for assisting in the preparation and distribution of internal and external financial information, including monthly and quarterly reports, executive summaries, projections, and multi-year budgets and forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated internal and external financial information.
  • Responsible formonth-end closing entries including various cost allocations and accruals, general ledger maintenance, joint venture entries, and intercompany eliminations along with the associated account reconciliations.
  • Serve as the intercompany elimination expert for cross legal entity transactions, especially self-perform work.
  • Prepare various schedules and analysis utilized by leadership.
  • Assist with the closing of fixed assets and leases.
  • Assist in the annual independent audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and coordinatingthese activities across regions, corporate departments, and the independent auditors.
  • Ensure timely responses toregionson Requests for Proposal information.
  • Conduct accounting research as necessary, especially in relation to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the Companys annual corporate G&A budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Ad hoc special projects and reports, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors or masters degree in accounting.
  • CPA or MBA preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in corporate or public accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting or auditing is preferred.
  • Strong accounting, critical thinking, advanced analytical, research, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate proactively and independently.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including proficiency in creating and managing pivot tables, lookup/reference functions, as well as statistical and logical functions.
