How you will make an impact:

The business will rely on you to provide a clear and accurate picture of the current operations, so that your colleagues can make the appropriate real-time decisions to improve efficiency. You will gather, analyze, and report on potential areas of improvement and be part of the team to brainstorm solutions to hit our long-term goals and objectives. Your fresh perspective will help drive continuous improvements initiatives in your day-to-day responsibilities and provide new actions and perspective to our finance roadmap.

• Interpret & summarize data to report on current performance, track trends and determine future financial expectations.

• Function as the primary point of contact for our revenue recognition program.

• Prepare monthly manufacturing budget versus actual reports and meet with cost center owners to understand variances.

• Establish a strong money belt presence within the organization incorporating benefit justification on assigned Process Excellence projects.

• Manage our checkbook process for maintenance, supplies and services to ensure spend is accounted for in budget prior to issuing PO’s and reprioritizing critical items within overall budget when required.

• Participate in SIOP process to understand volume and report sales summary data in monthly reviews.

• Lead cash flow forecast process coordinating across supply chain and accounting to ensure accurate inputs

• Expense Requests (ER’s) pre-approval process coordinator whereby projects are justified based on need, impact and budget.

• Provide financial support for key business initiatives throughout the year – new product pricing, R&D investment etc.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Accounting or business-related field.

• Strong Microsoft Office software skills - Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Intellectual capacity as evidenced by strategic vision and strong analytical skills.

• Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen with an ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.

Preferred:

• Minimum two years of experience.

• Knowledge of accounting and business software including Hyperion, J.D. Edwards, Business Objects, and Adaptive Insights preferred.

• Knowledge of government contract accounting requirements (CAS/FAR).

• Knowledge of manufacturing environment employing standard costing system.
