Description:

Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing a number of different types of construction projects. Will lead the project from initiation to close, hiring, working with vendors, and tracking equipment and materials. The PM is knowledgeable about regulations, permits, and project management methodology. May require local travel to construction sites.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and supervise all aspects of construction services. Work includes the design, procurement, shipment, pre-construction, and construction services necessary to meet the following requirements:
  • Compliance with local building codes.
  • Procure, manage all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Analyze monthly construction schedule updates; develop progress payments based on schedule updates; develop and implement recovery schedules.
  • Responsible for implementing the preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and project closeout phases with a strong emphasis on establishing and maintaining project controls and completing projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Education & Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in building construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
  • 5-7 years of experience in project management within construction
  • Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
  • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • US Citizen; Must be able to pass drug test and background check.

*The position is a hybrid role that will go onsite as needed and remote and will generally encompass a standard workweek spanning Monday through Friday.

Work Environment

  • Office computers and equipment, telephones, radios, Microsoft Office suite of tools, Web Based Applications such as Procore, electronic spreadsheets and database analysis, outputs, and reporting, virtual data sharing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and other forms of remote work-sharing tools.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and work at a computer for long periods of time. Ability up to lift 25lbs on occasion, stretching, climbing stairs, and walking
