Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support maintenance employees. Includes employee scheduling, assignment of daily work tasks (routine and emergency), performance management, and new hire and ongoing training per company policies and collective bargaining agreement.
  • Direct and effectively manage all engineering initiatives, equipment installations, process enhancements, and facility improvements from planning through execution to ensure operational excellence, meeting product specifications, quality standards and cost-effective methods.
  • Responsible for executing a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to meet quality standards and reduce downtime. This includes inspections and inventory oversight.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain and improve facilities and equipment.
  • Oversee policies, procedures, protocols and controls that govern operations to produce safe quality food that meets regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support and contribute to a safe working environment by following company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices. Includes completing all work in safe manner, promoting accident prevention, and resolving potential hazards timely.
  • Provides professional communications with all stakeholders, both internal and external.

      Preferred Education/Experience

      • High School diploma or GED required.
      • 3-5 years professional experience.
      • 2+ years supervisory experience.
      • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office and 3D CAD skills.
      • Experience with Limble preferred.
      • Project management experience which includes multiple project plans, with solid project and time-management skills.
      • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

      • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
      • Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet established deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimum direction
      • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, division and department heads, and third-party vendors.
      • Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.
      • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.
      • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
      • Ability to effectively troubleshoot under stressful conditions.

      Travel: Given the nature of this position, this individual may need to travel to other facilities occasionally
