How you will make an impact:

You will play a crucial role in a product authentication manufacturing business by ensuring that all IT devices and systems function optimally, thereby minimizing downtime and enhancing productivity. By providing timely support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining hardware and software, you directly impact the efficiency and reliability of daily operations. Your ability to document incidents and create knowledge base articles helps streamline problem resolution and improve overall IT service quality. Your proactive management of service requests and incidents ensures that all IT-related needs are addressed promptly, supporting the seamless operation of the business. You will help maintain a secure, efficient, and responsive IT environment, which is critical for the production and delivery of high-quality authentication products.

  • Proactively manage service requests and incident tickets to ensure all SLA commitments are achieved.
  • Act as the face of IT for local site activities, ensuring early awareness of initiatives requiring IT input.
  • Support central IT teams by gathering information for new solutions and ensuring new systems are brought into support appropriately.
  • Record, log, and track all incidents, problems, and requests, adhering to Service Level Agreements.
  • Perform 1st line diagnostics, resolve issues when appropriate, and document the problem-solving process.
  • Prioritize and schedule actions to solve incidents, escalating problems when necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts, liaising with third-party support when needed.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot end user client hardware, software, and peripherals, and educate users on appropriate use of Information Systems.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Certifications in MS Operating Systems, A+ Certification, and MS Office application.
  • Good technical knowledge of PC hardware, software and their components.
  • Ability to operate tools, components and peripheral accessories.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
  • Good technical knowledge

Preferred:

  • An understanding of ITIL V3/V4
