Description:
This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a secret or top-secret clearance as required.
Position Overview
The Directorate of Psychological Applications (DPA) is responsible for providing a broad range of psychological services to United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC). These services include, but are not limited to support for personnel assessment, selection, training, and development processes. All services work in a building block fashion with key developmental checkpoints over the course of a soldier's career.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychological services for candidate assessment and selection missions within command.
Interpretation of psychological assessment instruments.
Interviewing prospective candidates.
Preparation of psychological reports and presentation of candidate profiles to respective selection boards.
Present the state-of-the-art techniques and procedures in these domains to both operational psychologists and non-psychologists.
Help enhance performance, and other operational psychology training to the troops with the unit operational psychologist.
Conduct operational psychology factual research, white paper creation, testing applicants, and providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) input for plans pertaining to regulations and policies.
Provide back-up psychological support to USASOC Survival, Resistance, Evasion, and Escape (SERE) programs
Must have excellent writing skills, with the ability to translate sound clinical judgment into clear and appropriate recommendations.
Complete and submit all required documentation expeditiously and accurately in the required format.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
PsyD or PhD from an accredited doctoral program in clinical counseling/Psychology.
Must have a valid and unrestricted Psychologist license for the state that work is conducted.
Must be eligible to obtain secret clearance or top-secret clearance as required by contract.
Candidate shall have the following complete courses: OPPS, SERE, and AOPAC. With government approval, candidates may be able to obtain these after hiring.
At least 3 years using the psychological testing instruments common in the various USASOC programs (i.e., MMPI-2, MAB, NEO-PI-R, TAIS, etc.).
At least 3 years of experience conducting personal assessments and selection interviews.
At least 3 years of experience working with military, law enforcement, national security, or government agencies.
Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States.
