IDC's Transformation Business Operations (TBO) Team is seeking a Director,  Transformation, reporting to the Transformation Business Operations Officer, to drive strategic initiatives and transformational projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, optimizing business processes, and ensuring long-term sustainability and growth of the organization. The Director of Transformation plays an important role in helping guide the organization through periods of change and ensuring it remains competitive and adaptable in a rapidly evolving business environment.

 

This contract position will be a remote/hybrid role with a preferred location of Needham, the NYC metropolitan area or the East Coast.

 

Length of contract: minimum 6 months. The duration and terms of the contract will be discussed with selected candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to define and execute transformation strategies aligned to business priorities across IDC’s global footprint.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives focused on process improvement, operational excellence, and organizational capability building.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and toolkits that equip leaders and teams to navigate complex change.
  • Support the design and rollout of enterprise-wide frameworks and processes for project and change management.
  • Facilitate creation of governance models, stakeholder alignment, manage communications, and ensure the integration of people and process considerations into all transformation efforts.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in change leadership, organizational development, program management, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR, operations, and business leaders to build a culture of agility, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Measure and communicate the impact of strategic initiatives and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with the management of contingent resources to ensure the efficient use of both skilled talent and financial resources for transformation projects
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformation projects and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage feedback and input from employees at all levels.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of change management experience encompassing change strategy design, implementation and ongoing monitoring
  • Demonstrated experience in devising change management plans for large-scale transformational initiatives (e.g., technology, organizational)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Certification and/or practical experience with Change Management (i.e. Prosci, AdKAR), Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, Agile), Program and Project Management (i.e. PMP), and Management Consulting would be beneficial
  • Proven success where transformation initiatives are long lived/sustainable in the desired changes and impact
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
