Wilshire seeks an experienced Global HR Generalist Senior Associate to serve as the main liaison for all HR matters related to employees based outside the United States, especially in the EU and China. This role involves managing international benefits programs, coordinating with external payroll vendors, ensuring compliance with international labor laws, and facilitating seamless onboarding and offboarding for international employees.
What youll do:
International Employee Support & Relations
Serve as the main HR contact for international employees, addressing questions and providing guidance on company policies
Support performance management, employee relations issues, and investigations for international staff
Facilitate seamless onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, benefits enrollment/termination, and exit interviews
Benefits, Payroll, & Compliance Administration
Manage international benefits programs, including health & wellness, retirement, leave, and country-specific requirements; liaise with brokers, vendors, and advisors
Coordinate timely and accurate payroll processing for international locations, ensuring compliance with local regulations; collaborate on US payroll process
Ensure adherence to international labor laws and company compliance requirements across all jurisdictions
Operations, Analytics & Process Improvement
Recommend and implement process improvements for international HR operations, focusing on payroll, benefits, and record-keeping systems
Prepare regular reports and analysis on international employment data, benefits usage, and payroll costs to support strategic decision-making
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
4+ years experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role, with at least 2+ years focused on international HR (benefits, payroll, or compliance)
Proven knowledge of payroll processes and benefits administration
Familiarity with and ability to come up to speed on employment and labor laws in multiple countries
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information confidentially
Proven track record of effectively managing third-party payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations
Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive HR initiatives and achieve organizational goals
Experience working with a diverse, global workforce, understanding the nuances of HR across different regions
Aptitude to thrive in our entrepreneurial culture where change and ambiguity are constants
Ability to work independently, proactively, and within a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems is required; experience with BambooHR and ADP WFN is preferred
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
Flexibility of working hours to accommodate the needs of international employees, vendors, service providers, and other contacts
HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) preferred
Familiarity with the financial services industry or investment management preferred
The pay range for this position is $92,500-$105,000. However, base pay will be determined on an individual basis considering various factors, including location, qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full range of health and financial benefit offerings, which will be provided in conjunction with an offer of employment.
