How you will make an impact:

You will play a vital role in a product authentication manufacturing business by ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of production equipment and plant systems. By conducting timely repairs, maintenance, and servicing of machinery, you help achieve key performance indicators such as OEE, MTBF, and MTTR, which are crucial for maintaining high production standards. Your expertise in handling various systems, including HVAC, compressed air, and electrical distribution, ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Your adherence to safety and security procedures, along with your ability to solve complex mechanical problems, minimizes downtime and enhances overall operational efficiency.

• Ensure breakdown repairs and maintenance are completed quickly, following all safety and security procedures.
• Update machine status before and after interventions, and inform the maintenance supervisor.
• Handle 20kg loads and work at heights, using equipment like fork lifters, stackers, and elevated platforms.
• Ensure all necessary permits to work are in place before and after working in specific areas.
• Follow process quality controls and SOPs, and perform scheduled TPM activities.
• Read and interpret schematic and general arrangement diagrams, including HVAC and other plant-related equipment.
• Participate in the installation of equipment and infrastructural systems, and complete work dockets and associated paperwork.
• Communicate with third-party contractors/suppliers, and adhere to company guidelines, especially those related to environmental health and safety, ethics, and codes of conduct.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

• MQF 5 level in mechanical engineering or higher
• Proven hands-on experience in Hydraulics, pneumatics, bench fitting and welding/cutting
• O level standard of education including English, Maltese and Maths.
• ECDL or good use of Microsoft office packages.
• Experience on Plant Maintenance
• Experience in repairs & maintenance of Plant equipment

Preferred:

• Enemalta Licence A & B considered as an asset
