Position Summary:

KIC Construction is looking for a Construction Foreman to join our team! As a Construction Foreman, your main responsibility will be to effectively manage construction crews on projects from kick off to closeout. Candidates should have solid experience in construction, experienced leadership, and ability to make decisions in complex situations.


Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage construction crews, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and to specifications.
  • Develop, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals to meet schedule requirements.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure that all were performed to company/customer standards.
  • Prepare closeout documentation for each phase of the job as completed.
  • Team player that coordinates and communicates activities with other employees, departments, and management.
  • Hold daily meetings before beginning work.
  • Ensure all required materials have been purchased and delivered to the jobsite on time.
  • Complete daily reports and communicate job progress to the site superintendent.
  • Ability to read and apply blueprints enabling construction.
  • Collaborate and maintain communication with the site superintendent.
  • Ensure manpower and resources are allocated adequately.
  • Supervise the use of small tools, machinery and equipment.
  • Coordinate and resolve project and/or personnel issues as they arise.
  • Identify and correct work deficiencies.
  • Maintain professional appearance and maintain professional relationships with coworkers, subcontractors and clients.
  • Complete all required company and project training and ensure crew are trained properly to perform required tasks safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site: free of trash, waste and debris.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state and local requirements.
  • Must maintain and promote a safe working environment and Must have an Uncompromising Commitment to Safety!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as foreman or in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • OSHA 30 First Aid/ CPR certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • The ability to walk terrain and surfaces that may be far, uneven, or temporary
  • The ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, or reach
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull 50pound loads at a time unassisted. Ability to carry, push and pull heavier amounts with the use of assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
