Shift
Monday – Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm plus weekends when sport is in-season for competitions and recruiting.
Job Summary
The Assistant Athletic Trainer position will be directly responsible for the daily student-athlete healthcare of the men’s and women’s Swim and Dive teams. Daily coverage of practices and competitions is required, including team travel. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with other sport teams coverage occasionally, institutional and NCAA drug testing, and other duties as assigned by the Executive Associate AD for Sports Medicine and Performance. Injury record keeping is also required on Sportsware.
Ensure proper licenses are maintained, specifically NATA Certification and State of Kentucky Licensure and complies with NCAA, SEC and University rules and policies.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Eligible for state of Kentucky Athletic Training license.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience
Master’s degree in an Athletic Training Related field; Athletic Training Experience or participation in the sport of Swim / Dive; experience with covering sport teams at a “Power 5” Conference school strongly preferred.
