Description
The Antarctic Support Contract Enterprise Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the management of the ASC Accountable Property and IT&C Enterprise Inventory and performance of related tasks within the USAP as well as appropriately responding to the time-sensitive needs of Leidos/Antarctica Support contract (ASC), National Science Foundation (NSF), and partner agency staff.
This position will manage the ASC Accountable Property Inventory ensuring annual audits and updated data are collected. This individual will also manage the IT&C Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) process and tools, data management and reporting in compliance with program directives. Responsibilities include conducting physical inventories of Accountable Property, Information Technology (IT), Operational Technology (OT), and Internet of Things (IoT) assets as required to ensure accurate inventories. This position will also work with stakeholders to capture inventory input for collation and integration into the centrally managed inventory whenever possible. The position will evaluate current inventory methods, tools and processes, and recommend or implement automation and efficiencies where possible.
Typical duties involve management of a centralized inventory repository, physical inventory and tagging of assets, managing and proofing data, providing reports, working with stakeholders on submissions and reporting needs, disposition of IT assets, advise on improvement opportunities to inventory activities and support, and staying compliant with the USAP Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and FISMA reporting requirements.
*** Deployment to Antarctica may be necessary at the discretion of management (approximately 3 to 8 weeks/year). The candidate in the position must complete the physical and dental examinations required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica. ***
Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Must obtain a Public Trust security clearance prior to start date. This process could take up to 4 months.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000.

About the Antarctic Support Contract:
Leidos Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) is the prime contractor to the National Science Foundation (NSF) in support of the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). The Challenge:
This position manages the ASC/USAP Accountable Property inventory and ensures stakeholders provide updates to that inventory and data ingests are efficient and automated to the extent possible. This position is responsible for filling in gaps in that inventory by inspecting assets and completing data sets at all USAP locations and stations. This position supports IT&C asset management through management the ITAM platform and tools providing for a centralized inventory repository, conduct physical inventory, data management, reporting and disposition of assets as required.
This position will be part of the USAP IT&C and Finance teams dividing time as required to fulfill the required responsibilities. This position will also advise their supervisor(s) as to how to best integrate other teams and stakeholders into the enterprise inventory processes to ensure work is distributed and automated as efficiently as possible. The position will produce regular status reports and metrics for Property and FISMA reporting compliance as well working metrics in support of ASC IT&C processes and stakeholders.
Asset Management Specialist on the Finance and IT&C teams for the Leidos/Antarctic Support Contract, National Science Foundation (NSF), partner agencies within the USAP, and other national programs requiring approved USAP IT&C support.
Reconcile inventory results in Maximo and support property reporting time with data requests.
Support on-site physical inventory processing and disposal as needed, including resupply vessel offloads in Port Hueneme, CA.
Prepare property disposal documents as required.
Coordinate with stakeholders to track the intake, deployment, transfer, and decommissioning of accountable/capital and IT equipment.
Assist with hardware refresh projects, inventory control processes, and surplus equipment handling.
Monitor compliance with asset management policies and procedures, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
Maintain an internal knowledge base of asset management processes, tools, and documentation.
Author and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to asset intake, deployment, tracking, and disposal.
Support incident and change management processes by providing accurate asset data.
Manage the ITAM Platform and processes:
Implement and manage Asset Explorer for advanced asset tracking and reporting.
Ensure all equipment is properly codified and categorized for easy tracking and reporting.
Generate reports and dashboards from Asset Explorer to support operational decisions, audits, inspections and future state planning.
Perform regular audits, reconciliations, and updates of asset inventories to ensure integrity of asset data.
Train and guide stakeholders on asset management best practices and proper Asset Explorer usage.
Conduct Physical Inventory:
Perform physical inventory of accountable property, tag and report for accountability.
Identify and inventory IT, OT, and IoT assets, capture and report for accountability.
What Sets You Apart:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management, Supply Chain Management or related field, experience or applicable certifications acceptable in lieu of degree.
Familiarity with IBM Maximo asset management
Familiarity with the implementation and management of ITAM (Information Technology Asset Management) tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
Experience generating presentation-quality reports.
Familiarity with IT hardware identification and handling.
Ability to lift and handle IT equipment as part of inventory activities.
Experience with IT assets sanitization and disposal practices.
Excellent organizational skills and a strong commitment to accuracy.
Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.
Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills required.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with various USAP sites and participants.
Industry experience working in a cross-functional matrixed team environment.

Experience with IBM Maximo asset management tools
Experience with IT Asset Management in organizations with remote, austere locations.
Experience with Manage Engine Asset Explorer and Desktop Central.
Experience with automated reporting from Microsoft Configuration Manager and network system scans.
Experience with Microsoft Power BI.
Process development and integration with Enterprise applications such as SharePoint and SQL Database Applications.
Experience in interpreting and complying with FAR Part 45 and 52.245-1 requirements.
Familiarity with ITIL best practices for asset management.
Knowledge of FISMA, the NIST Cybersecurity framework and federal cybersecurity requirements.
Prior experience with federal audits and inspections.
Prior property control experience in support of the U.S. military or DoD contractor is a plus.
Continuous service improvement or process improvement experience.
Experience supporting federal environments, particularly with prior property control responsibilities in support of the U.S. military or a DoD contractor.
