Transport Administrator - Military veterans preferred

Pay Rate: £26,199
Contract Type: Secondment - 6 month
Shift patterns: Monday - Friday - office hours
Location: Redhill - RH1 5EH

DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Transport Clerk to play a vital role ensuring smooth running of all transport scheduled activities.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Escalation in colleague and driver issues
• Accountable for ensuring system compliance i.e. Logics, DPM and transport systems
• Fostering an environment that promotes sharing of ideas and best practice to the benefit of the network
• Manage and review Transport KPI's,to identify KPL's, Fleet Utilisation, PvA Hours and POA and support any improvements
• Manage operational costs and identification of cost performance trends - i.e. fuel performance/accidents etc
• Promote a positive transport/network culture, supporting EOS initiatives
• Manage disciplinary and grievance in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures
• Process paperwork as required - invoices
• Operate IT systems as required
• Accountable for delivering a high quality, customer focused service
• General admin tasks

• Experience working in a fast moving transport operation
• Transport legal compliance
• H&S compliance and leadership
• Able to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Office)
• Able to communicate at all levels, internally and externally
