Leidos’ Defense Systems Land Systems Business Area is seeking a talented CUAS Product Owner to join our growing Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) team in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role will lead multiple software engineering teams that are working to build a CUAS command and control (C2) system.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Develop and maintain a product vision and roadmap for CUAS initiatives, in alignment with organizational objectives.
•Translate business and operational requirements into product features and requirements for software teams
•Write user stories that articulate business value by defining agile pieces of technical work with maximum value
•Groom and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those that align with product strategy
•Work with the stakeholders on establishing an architecture that can flexibly deploy to edge hardware or distributed systems leveraging infrastructure automation or infrastructure as code
•Prioritize features and functionality based on business value, customer feedback, and market demand
•Creates User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, ensuring stories clearly communicate customer/Stakeholder needs to the development team; work with team to clarify stories as necessary
•Participates in team standups, scrums, demo, retro, and negotiates inspect and adapt with team leads
•Leads Product Increment planning sessions translating roadmap items into epics
•Provide operational leadership and understanding of the development path for the product
•Coordinate initiatives that span multiple teams, such as implementing new architecture or reusable software
•Effective in communication to leadership with ability to articulate risk, mitigate challenges and influence stakeholders
•Review new work proposals that may have an impact with your product(s) and roadmap
•Strive to provide internal and external customers with excellent customer service and world-class service.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 8-12 years of relevant experience related to software development, military C2 or military fires or Masters degree plus 6-10 years of relevant experience related to software development, military C2 or military fires
Willing to travel up to 25% including the potential for OCONUS travel.
Ability to review requirements, comprehend need, and solution capabilities that satisfy customer requirements.
Experience working in a highly collaborative, forward thinking, and innovation-driven environment.
Agile and DevSecOps concepts and best practices experience.
Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence with preference for C2 decision aids
Hand-on experience with Atlassian and Git products (Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, etc.).
Familiar with software development practices that contribute to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) such as CI/CD pipelines, static code analysis, unit test coverage and DISA STIGs.
Must currently possess and maintain an active Secret clearance
Must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Lawton, Oklahoma area or willing to relocate to the Lawton, OK area.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with modern defense software in one or more JADC2 portfolios (ABMS, Overmatch, Convergence)
People’s leadership and mentoring experience
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
