POSITION SUMMARY

The AIT Budget Coordinator is responsible for the financial leadership of the organization in the planning analysis, design, development, implementation and support of all projects that require financial resources. This position requires expertise that enables oversight of the entire financial environment.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years in healthcare finance experience. Excellent analytical interpretive and communication skills required. Working knowledge of IT project budgeting methodology.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Provides financial leadership in the planning, analysis, design, development and implementation of various information system projects related to a specific customer or business.*

  • Effectively collaborates with business personnel to identify, document and meet business information needs related to finance.*
  • Assists in the design, development, analysis and implementation of business systems that meet project objectives. *
  • Conducts studies and analysis as required to support business and project objectives.*
  • Makes recommendations with regards to financial processes in project process.*
  • Collaborates effectively with project team members and applies accepted project management principles.*
  • Provides guidance to utilize resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Establishes recommendations for financial operations and fiscal management.
  • Ensures customer business plans and strategies have appropriate financial analysis.
  • Provides initial needs analysis on all information technology requests to determine financial viability.*
  • Coordinates and collaborates with prior leadership on completion of financial aspects of all projects.*
  • Makes sound recommendations and assists in the implementation of processes and workflows that enhance the use of system applications and/or facilitates quality improvement initiatives. *
  • Ensures a smooth and thorough turnover process to technical and operational support. *
  • Maintains an expert in-depth knowledge of the application and the departments using the application.
  • Develops and maintains an expert/ in depth level of knowledge of the system application and/or service by effectively resolving daily problems and issues. Responsible for innovative enhancement of system functionality. *
  • Consistently and accurately maintains the system database as well as supporting documents to include new information and system codes, policies, and procedures, user guides/manuals, and periodic data maintenance (purging, re-indexing, and/or change management documentation testing) as required. *
  • Responds effectively and timely to user issues and problems; acts as a resource and mentor to other departments and application systems analysts. *
  • Generates accurate and timely reports, ensuring data validity. *
  • Performs system tests and audits; makes recommendations for resolution of system issues or establishment or new procedures. *
  • Assists in the technical development of staff in their area to identify on-the-job training, formal training and work assignments. This includes providing feedback to the employee on their performance expectation as it relates to the technical aspect of their job
  • Must have detailed experience in supporting all areas of our financial environment, including budgeting and integration with other functions/business units.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires balancing, climbing, fingering, grasping, hearing, kneeling, reaching, reading, seeing, speaking, standing and stooping a majority of the time. The ability to carry, lift, push and pull up to 20 lbs. required. Occasional driving also required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
