Overview
Sev1Tech is seeking a Quality Assurance and Automated Tester for the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Ordnance Information System (OIS) to provide technical expertise on a mission-critical program whose purpose is to develop, modernize, enhance, operate, and maintain services for OIS mission critical systems.

Travel to customer site (Mechanicsburg, PA) will be required for Program Increment planning sessions, 2 times per year. Additional travel may be required for meetings.

This role will support the Next Gen/Modernization development team, and will be responsible for supporting, planning, coordinating, and executing verification, validation, and testing of application and systems software.Â

Primary Responsibilities:
Â
Job duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with software developers, engineers, business analysts, and requirements personnel to plan, coordinate and execute static analysis and dynamic testing of systems/software code to verify and validate acceptance and technical specifications.
- Evaluating the test basis and supporting the refinement of requirements to ensure testability, clarity, and correctness.
- Authoring and maintaining software test cases and procedures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically.
- Conducting test design activities to identify and create test cases (positive and negative) traceable to system requirements.
- Develop software test plans to document the overall test strategy, test approach, test process, test schedule, pass/fail criteria, test environment architecture, test lab resources, and test data.
- Perform regression testing, covering full suite of Operational Test Scenarios for builds and/or images to be delivered to customer.
- Conducting static and dynamic testing at all software testing levels to include integration, functional, system, and acceptance.
- Accurately recording and reporting defects (anomalies, systems errors, and configuration changes, etc.) found during test events and trace to resolution.
- Working closely with stakeholders, sponsors, and customers to determine acceptance criteria and coordinate certification test events with end users.
- Maintain test environment and install new software code as necessary to support applications
- Supporting Customer Demonstration, data prep and UAT activities
Responsibilities- Must have DOD Secret level clearance to startÂ
- Certification Requirements: Directive 8570.1/8140 - IAT II: Security+
- BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years software QA and testing experience or Masters or equivalent experience and 2+ years software QA and testing experience
- Experience mapping test cases back to requirements for validation
- Experience implementing automated testing processes with tools such as JUnit, Selenium/Cypress, 508 testing, Performance Testing
- Knowledge of testing business applications and enterprise information systems
- Knowledge of static and dynamic software test activities
- Knowledge of agile or incremental software development life cycle models
- Skilled in creating software test cases, test procedures, test scripts, and test data conditions
- Skilled at mapping test cases to requirements and providing input to generate a requirements traceability matrix
- Ability to assess software products for readiness and determine pass/fail criteria
- Ability to capture test data, analyze test results and clearly communicate (orally and written) findings and/or deficiencies
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with members of a software development or systems engineering team to accomplish project team goals and objectives
Qualifications- Experience with Navy
- SAFe experience and knowledge
- Experience on AWS, CI/CD, DevSecOps
