Overview:

The APY-11 Radar Technical Representative provides engineering and technical support services for LRS Product Line work at Elizabeth City, NC.



Responsibilities:
  • Assist in resolving issues with APY-11 Multi-Mode Radar System and its system components at USCG field units and ALC.
  • Troubleshoot/Repair APY-11 Radar components deemed NON-RFI by field units. If unable to repair, provide detailed written description of inspections/testing performed for contract component repair facility.
  • Train ALC and USCG personnel on Radar maintenance Test Equipment (RITE) operation, testing procedures, general preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Train ALC and USCG personnel on all applicable Intermediate and Depot level maintenance procedures to ensure RFI status of all APY-11 Radar Components.
  • Monitor all HC-130J Electronic Asset Logbooks for trends associated with the APY-11 Radar system and its components to provide feedback to USCG personnel.
  • Write, review, and update procedures and process documents, including, but not limited to, technical manuals, MPCs, TCTOs, SICRs, ESRs, SRs, PQDRs, ACCB requests, COMDTINST manuals, process guides, IAW applicable ALC and USCG applicable documented guideline and generally accepted commercial or military maintenance or design processes.
  • Assist in investigation of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs). Submit recommendations for action for Government acceptance.
  • Assist with the research of existing and potential LRS HC-130J Radar component and electrical systems, design solutions, components, interface and performance requirements, operating requirements and related program elements.
  • The Technical Representative may be required to travel to USCG Air Stations in HI, FL, AK, or CA.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School graduate.
  • Familiar with APY-11 radar components and test equipment.
  • Familiar with USCG computerized maintenance systems, e.g. ALMIS, ACMS.
