IT Program Manager
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the alignment of IT projects and initiatives into strategic programs whose solutions support strategic, tactical, and operational objectives. Provides program oversight and leads cross-functional team(s) and subject matter experts in the development, planning and implementation of multiple projects and/or programs from inceptions through delivery. Plans and delivers communications to cross-functional audiences both internally and externally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and manages cross-functional teams in the establishment, strategy, planning and implementation of IT programs
Identify priorities, dependencies, resources, project schedule and work the PMO team to develop and maintain project management plans within assigned programs
Define and manage program expectations and communications and develop expertise to support and identify technology solution that meet the business needs
Oversee project manager's responsibilities for projects within program areas
Develop organizational relationship to ensure communication of program strategy and alignment with enterprise strategy
Define, develop and communicate program reports and analytics and develop and maintain comprehensive communication plan for program area for primary stakeholders
Responsible for the support of program and portfolio management strategy with directors and IT management
Assist with establishing program specific performance and development targets and provide evaluation information to management
Responsible for mentoring, coaching and problem resolution and support to project managers within program area
Responsible for the analysis, recommendation and implementation of new technologies in support of program area
COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of project management principles
Knowledge of financial and economic analysis, regulatory frameworks, engineer and IT principles, and general business practice
Knowledge of strategic planning
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university with seven to nine years of progressively complex successful project management experience including related business experience and two years management experience.
Project Management Professional Certification Required
Program Management Professional Certification desired
Masters degree preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervises and trains assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Responsible for employee development and performance management skills.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to write and present effective and persuasive speeches and articles on complex topics to various level within the organization
ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Ability to apply principal of logical of scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time and may occasionally lift and. or move up to 10 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office environment.
Employees in Services Company may be responsible for providing services to various Holding Company
subsidiaries and affiliates.
