We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Commercial Analyst to support the sales organization, drive strategic planning, and improve financial and operational performance. This role blends tactical execution with strategic initiatives, partnering closely with sales leadership, finance, and executive teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, leverages data for decision-making, and drives continuous improvement across commercial operations.

Success in this role requires intellectual curiosity, a strong sense of ownership, and the drive to explore beyond the obvious—identifying insights, asking the right questions, and delivering actionable solutions that move the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Structuring & Commercial Support:

  • Work closely with the Sales team to structure complex deals and partnerships in alignment with Paciolan’s financial objectives and business strategy.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and data team to help define pricing optimization strategy.
  • Define, monitor, and expand internal sales metrics across teams.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Manage recurring financial/metrics reporting for distribution to senior management.
  • Build, maintain, and update monthly KPI dashboards for sales and executive audiences.
  • Centralize deal tracking for improved access and evaluation.
  • Lead weekly deal review meetings.
  • Collaborate on and refine deal model summaries and dashboard enhancements for performance visibility.

Sales Compensation Management:

  • Manage and maintain written sales commission plans.
  • Execute quarterly commission payout calculations for Sales, CPs, and Digital Marketing teams.

Strategic Planning & Long-Range Forecasting:

  • Partner with the executive team to align sales plans with company-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Support long-range planning (LRP) and budget forecasting by providing commercial inputs.
  • Identify and analyze operational pain points between Sales, Accounting, and Client Partner teams, and develop cross-functional solutions that streamline collaboration and drive mutual benefit across all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial analytics, FP&A, or sales operations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Abacum or similar FP&A software is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to present complex data and analysis to executive leadership in a clear, concise, and impactful manner to inform strategic decisions.

  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting and deal models.
  • Sales team satisfaction with analytics and deal support.
  • Improved decision-making and alignment during planning cycles.
  • Efficiency and impact of dashboards and strategic tools/insights delivered.

Pay Transparency

The approximate base pay range for this position is $75,000.00 to $105,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as geographic location.
