As we continue in our hyper-growth phase, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Technician II to join our Southeast team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a service-oriented professional to support the delivery of cutting-edge security technologies and have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and operational excellence. 

Territory & Travel: This role covers the state of Florida with the Miami-Dade area the preferred home-base but not limited to for this Service Tech II role. Overnight travel may be required up to 25% of the time.



Responsibilities

System Installation, Service & Troubleshooting

  • Service, Install and test access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and related security components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CCTV issues, including hardware faults and system programming.
  • Configure digital and network video recorders based on customer requirements.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with Kastle's quality standards and within designated timeframes.
  • Communicate progress regularly to internal and external stakeholders.

Service Ticket Management

  • Manage assigned service tickets and document job progress.
  • Accurately record labor hours, materials used, and billing statuses in the field service dispatch system.- Collaborate with Customer Support and Service Managers to ensure billing accuracy and resolve work discrepancies.

Equipment & Inventory Control

  • Safeguard and manage access credentials to client buildings.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels for assigned vehicle and ensure compliance with inventory controlprocesses.
  • Participate in annual and interim inventory audits.
  • Maintain company-issued tools, vehicles, and diagnostic equipment in good working condition.

Communication & Documentation

  • Coordinate and communicate with IT personnel, general contractors, property managers, engineers, and clients.
  • Provide timely updates and escalation of issues to management.
  • Conduct on-site customer training of Access Control, Video and Security systems.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate, organized records.
  • Perform regular scans and analysis of the operational performance and stability of Access Control, Video and communication equipment.


Qualifications



Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in alarm systems, access control, CCTV, and networking.
  • Proven reliability and consistent attendance in previous roles.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, including electrical, construction, and fire safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CCNA or A+ certification.
  • Manufacturer certifications such as Axis, Genetec, or Milestone.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficient in Windows PC and server environments.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, cabling).
  • Experience with wireless networks, video cameras, DVR/NVR, and video management systems.
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot switches, routers, and gateways.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic and Ethernet installation and termination.

Additional Competencies

  • Competence with electrical test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Familiarity with PIR technology, AC/DC theory, and Doppler radar principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must complete Kastle's internal training program.
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Physically able to climb ladders, carry up to 75 lbs, and distinguish colors.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail and customer focus.
  • This role includes a company-issued laptop, cell phone, vehicle, and company credit card.
