Leidos’ Defense Systems Land Systems Division is seeking an Ordnance Test and Support Technician to join our team in Huntsville, AL supporting the U.S. Army in collecting data from ordnance tests. Responsibilities include data collection and evaluation of ordnance debris, setup of test sites, post-test data collection and documentation. The selected candidate will work closely with engineers and other technicians to qualify ordnance performance metrics and perform data collection responsibilities. Candidate will work with customers on customer site supporting a variety of Army Ordnance Projects. The position requires excellent communication skills, working well in a team with diverse skillsets, working in a fast-paced environment, ability to work outdoors in various environments, and willingness to take on a variety of duties to help the team be successful.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support in test preparation, planning, and execution of various types of ordnance tests

  • Data collection and analysis from ordnance tests post-events

  • Submitting test collection and data analysis reports

  • Other ordinance support tasks as defined by the branch manager / chief engineer

Basic Qualifications:    

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds multiple times during shift

  • Detail oriented for data collection and documentation

  • Experience operating test, measurement, and analysis hardware

  • Experience in MS based applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment

  • Experience working with ordinance items

  • Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems in coordination with engineering and support teams.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,650.00 - $71,675.00
