Description

Leidos is seeking an Asset Management & Logistics Support Specialist, SME in Fort Belvoir, VA to support large-scale migration and operations on a large, high-profile DOD contract. The I3TS program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable DTRA’s Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities to DTRA’s internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations. 

In this role, a successful candidate will ensure continuous accountability of government property in accordance with governing regulations and policies, maintaining 100% accountability over inventories of all program assets for full lifecycle (cradle-to-grave) asset management functions.

As an Asset Management & Logistics Support Specialist, you’ll provide expertise in assisting with organizational- and depot-level logistics, which includes working in an industrial environment and moving boxes or crates weighing up to 50 lbs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Offers expert level evaluation guidance

  • Serve as primary interface to the program/IT Asset Management team

  • Serve as expert in asset & software management, responding to complicated problems and resolving issues as they arise

  • Train developmental and full performance members of the team in proper procedure for software asset management, data reporting, and license requirements

  • Document existing processes, monitor efficiency and quality of execution, maintain familiarity with current best practices and emergent tools, techniques, and procedures

  • Develop workflows and make recommendations to government customer

  • Coach, mentor, and review work of entire team

  • Execute processes and workflows in accordance with the policies, processes, and objectives as defined in the annual Lifecycle Management Plan

  • Perform reporting and analytics as directed

  • Recommend process improvements

  • Direct and manage Asset Management database and generate reports

  • Ensure all information generated and assets located in approved government spaces/location is accurately captured, including information on equipment installed, moved, destroyed, or DRMOed

  • Develop, document, and deliver training materials, quick reference guides, task checklists, and SOPs

  • Prepare and verify asset inventory reports, assist primary property custodian with annual inventory including 100% physical inventory as directed by the hand-receipt holder or ITD leadership

  • Track license/maintenance agreement expiration dates and notify program team in advance, to ensure no lapse. Provide input to monthly reporting as needed

  • Activate software and prepare and deliver physical media in working state, ready for installation

  • Coordinate with hardware/software vendors to obtain product updates and patches and manage/update IT software repository

  • Perform packaging, receiving, shipping, and disposal of assets in accordance with Security & Asset Management policies and procedures

  • Provide services for the disposition of obsolete and excess IT equipment by sanitizing and preparing equipment for disposal or transfer to approved DTRA disposal services in compliance with DTRA, DoD, and/or IC procedures

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Active DOD Top Secret; able to obtain a TS/SCI

  • Possession of excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent decision-making ability and sound judgement with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively will all levels of staff, both internal to Leidos and external (military/government customer, etc.) both written and oral

  • Prior property control experience in support of the U.S. military or DoD contractor

  • 8+ years of experience with government asset management/managing government property using a compliant inventory system

  • 5+ years of experience at stock management and bench stock management

  • 5+ years of experience Software license management

  • Experience planning, integrating, implementing, or developing an Enterprise Lifecycle Property Management Program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 Certification

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Certification

  • Experience with ServiceNow, IT Asset Management

  • Specialized certificate in US Government property management, logistics certification

  • Continuous service improvement or process improvement experience

  • Experience in the ten-life cycle property management outcomes: acquisition, receipt, records, physical inventory, subcontractor control, reports, relief of stewardship, utilization, maintenance and property closeout

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
