Description:
SUMMARY
Maximize Spares Business for the benefit of the Company and Customer, for both the short and long term. Process orders for parts received by mail, telephone, e-mail or personally from a customer or company employee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Increase Spares orders
- Follow up with previous customers and use existing data to contact current customers
- Use new orders to solicit new spares orders
- Use up-selling by suggesting complimentary parts as options on quotes.
- Use various methods to promote spares interest: i.e.: website, mailers, customer
contact, etc.
· Continually work to increase closure rates
- All inquiries get at least an acknowledgement the same day
- Proposals issued within 48 hours unless different customer expectations
- Follow-up required on every quote
- Track and understand when proposals are lost. Determine steps needed
to improve.
· Increase Spares Margins by:
- Knowing real costs for accurate estimating
- Knowing where prices can be raised. Develop a pricing system to capture data and
increase knowledge (use 5-tier system and evolve it)
- Knowing where costs can be lowered. Use competition with alternative vendors
· Ensure Customer Satisfaction by getting the correct part to them on time
- Orders are promptly and correctly processed
- Orders are summarized with correct quantities, complete descriptions, vendor info
- Follow-up with Purchasing and/or shop to confirm delivery per Customer expectations
- Communicate with Customer to provide needed status and updates.
· Functions in a workplace with dignity and respect for all.
· Functions as a team member and to get along with others.

· Reports for work on time as scheduled and ready to perform.
· Performs other similar or related duties as assigned, or as necessary, to accomplish the department's objectives in an effective manner.
Requirements:
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIRMENTS
· Accountable for all concerns within their scope of work and has the absolute responsibility to remedy, report and/or communicate any issue to managers, supervisors, safety or environmental managers as appropriate.
· Follows all safe work practices, watches out for fellow workers, and keeps their work area clean.
· Ensures area remains compliant regarding hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste and universal waste.
· The following personal protection equipment is required and must be worn while working in the manufacturing facility or customers' facilities:
1. Company approved safety glasses or goggles
2. Company approved steel ESD toe shoes.
3. Appropriate hand protection.
4. Ear protection in designated areas.
5. Appropriate clothing.
6. Other safety equipment as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None required.
QUALIFICATIONS

· EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three months related experience.
· LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
· REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to understand mechanical concepts.
· COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE SKILLS: Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Visual Manufacturing Software, AutoCAD, and the Internet.
· EQUIPMENT: Computer and other general office equipment.
· CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.
