Clinical Research Coordinator III-Part Time
Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.
The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurological Surgery, is hiring for a Part-Time Clinical Research Coordinator III position. This will be at 60% effort, 22.5 hours a week.
This position will be working in the lab of Dr. Pravat Mandal on a clinical trial study named "Monitoring Patients with Repetitive Head Impact with Gamma-glutamylcysteine Supplementation” among others as necessary.
This position will include the following duties. Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to study protocols, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff on proper and best study research techniques as directed. Preparation of standard operating procedure with PI. Ensures proper protocols are followed and quality assurance of research and related work. Corrects data collection issues with PI. Requires some supervision. Work is expected to be done autonomously with overall guidance and direction from leadership.
Minimum education to be considered for this position is a Master's degree in a related field
