QualificationsWe are seeking a VP of Enterprise Technologies and Systems. This position is remote or can be hybrid, with the ability to work from one of our RS&H Offices.
Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the enterprise applications, data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) functions within the IT organization. This includes developing and executing strategies for enterprise applications, data governance, and AI-driven solutions. The role provides leadership and direction to ensure that the enterprise applications and data aligns with business objectives and delivers value across the enterprise.
This position is responsible for establishing and implementing strategies that drive business results, in alignment with organizational objectives. This includes developing plans for optimizing enterprise applications and leveraging AI to drive innovation. The role leads multiple teams and primarily leads through leaders to achieve organizational and operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborates with IT Leadership and the organization to provide technology vision and direction for enterprise applications, data, and corporate AI innovation. Provides strategic insight into technology domains and capabilities to guide enterprise-wide business decisions, working closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and business leadership.
- Leads corporate digital transformation efforts and identifies opportunities for innovation and improvement, while overseeing ongoing implementation of multiple, overlapping application initiatives.
- Oversees the implementation, operation, integration, and support of enterprise corporate applications, collaborating with IT associates, department champions, and vendors to improve software utilization and meet business needs. Serves as a solutions architect to ensure alignment with business requirements and seamless integration within the enterprise environment
- Manages application development and vendor coordination, including requirements definition, design, testing, and ongoing maintenance. Leads efforts to assess, integrate, and automate enterprise systems, driving process improvements and facilitating user training
- Leads, coaches, and inspires a scalable high-performance team, maintaining an environment of associate engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and continual improvement. This includes coaching, mentoring, and training staff to deliver high- quality and impactful solutions that drive business results
- Drives initiatives to integrate enterprise applications and automate data flow between systems. Works with all departments to anticipate software needs and ensure applications are fully leveraged.
- Establishes strategic planning and governance principles to drive focus and prioritization within the organization. Oversees the execution of high-impact, enterprise-wide strategic programs and digital transformation initiatives. Manages our enterprise applications portfolio, ensuring it meets current and future business requirements. Evaluate and prioritize objects based on strategic alignment, return on investment and risk. Identify opportunities for system modernization, integration, automation and rationalization
- Develops and manages strategic vendor and partnership relationships, while establishing and maintaining technology policies, procedures, methodologies, governance frameworks, and performance metrics to ensure the organization delivers value to the enterprise
- Work with business units and software vendors to drive user training on enterprise business systems.
- Directs the preparation, review, and consolidation of business plans and budgets for the team. Monitors technology costs and cost structures for services and products and communicates financial implications to leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience..
- 15 years of experience in IT and business/industry.
- A minimum of 10 years of management and leadership experience.
- Experience in business/industry managing cross functional teams or projects
- The position requires a strong technical background in ERP applications, project/program management, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Alignment with business needs, managing our key vendor relationships and leading support teams that will help the organization achieve and maintain a stable and responsive portfolio of applications.
- It is expected that this leader will help our organization keep up with the latest trends in the ERP market, including (but not limited to) the use of modern approaches such as cloud ERP, platform-as-a-service capabilities and embedded AI capabilities.
- Must possess strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across a breadth of stakeholders.
- Must also possess advanced organizational, prioritization, and oral and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with others.
- Must have proven ability to successfully interact with and influence senior organizational leadership and key stakeholders.
- Must have demonstrated ability to effectively lead a diverse team of IT professionals and address challenging and potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
- Ability to travel to office locations, field sites and leadership off-site meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong preference for prior A/E/C Industry experience
- Master's Degree
