Job Title: Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Analytics

Job Summary: The Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Analytics demonstrates a passion for solving complex problems using data and analytics. This role is responsible for implementing the data strategy for our company and will analyze data sets, make insightful recommendations, and communicate strategic ideas to inform key decision makers about customer needs and where to invest future efforts, using data-driven insights to fuel strategic growth. They will also support data stewards with setting and implementing data governance and data quality assurance standards. The Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Analytics will own and maintain all analytic data models and business intelligence reporting, including ad-hoc, regulatory and compliance. Additionally, this role is the single source of truth and involves building and maintaining tools that directly track company key performance indicators as well as creating external-facing data assets that allow customers to obtain information directly pertaining to their accounts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data strategy, including management of data assets, data governance, and developing a data-centered culture throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for managing the data and analytics team tasked with creating, maintaining, and delivering reports at executive, department, and customer level.
  • Responsible for delivering new, reusable business intelligence solutions and demonstrating the value proposition to business stakeholders.
  • Serve as the product owner of the Company’s customer portal responsible for report development and the user experience overall.
  • Champion improvements to data quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with development and architecture teams, internal employees, and external partners in development of both internal and external systems.
  • Serve as a liaison to IT for data needs/inquiries/requests/solutions, along with any enhancements or updates that affect existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to design and optimize our cloud-based data warehouse architecture.
  • Ensure business recommendations are based on accurate data and thorough analyses by rigorously stress testing data and assumptions.
  • Deliver ad-hoc reports requested by the leadership team.
  • Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Optimize algorithms for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models to solve complex problems and improve business processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years in a Business Intelligence or equivalent role with 2+ years in a managerial role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Life Sciences or similar discipline.
  • Experience in managing and organizing large datasets using programming languages such as SQL, SAS, Python, etc. and writing complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience with automating ELT processes and report delivery in multiple data formats.
  • Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, Microstrategy, etc. (Sigma preferred).
  • Must have a solid understanding of data warehouse architecture and best practices.
  • Significant experience developing and delivering data solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and organizational levels.

Beneficial Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s in Data Science, Master’s in Business Administration with an analytics emphasis, or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare inventory management and EDI ordering systems.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, claims, lab, and other syndicated data sources).
  • Experience with Snowflake serving as the Data Warehouse production platform.
  • Experience with designing data models within data warehouse (Snowflake) based on reporting, analytics, and data science requirements, to manage data architecture and catalog for Snowflake.
  • Experience with reading and understanding various coding languages.

Compensation Range and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $140,000-165,000.00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, Pharma Logistics’ business and organizational needs, as well as an individual’s relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance.
