Shift Engineer - Military veterans preferred

Pay Rate: £44,990 + Any Shift Premium + Any Overtime
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 3 on 3 off, Rotating Days and Nights
Shift times: 0545 - 1815 and 1745 - 0615
Location: Stoke-On-Trent (ST4 4EX)

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Shift Engineer to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Ensure all items of plant operate effeciently and safely through proactive and reactive maintenance
• Provide support and engineering expertise to the site operation through implementation of proactive planned preventative maintenance
• Carry out all engineering disciplines using best Health and Safety and engineering practices
• All plant is maintained in accordance with the approved maintenance schedules and training provided
• Provide a flexible approach and service to the operation to ensure that the sites targets are achieved. Provide support to second fixers where required

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• A minimum of City and Guilds or BTEC ONC in Mechanical / NVQ level 3 Mechanical Engineering
• Previous engineering experience
• Operationally be able to prioritise workload and tasks to maximise efficient operations
• Work in a pressurised environment ensuring all targets are constantly being monitored in order to be achieved
• Adapt to an everchanging environment and have a dynamic approach to process change
