ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Direct and supervise the work of crew members.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are inspected daily.
  • Tools and equipment are correctly secured while being transported from one location to the next.
  • Ensure that crew members have the required safety equipment, which is constantly utilized.
  • Submit daily attendance reports for all assigned personnel.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings (as needed) and conduct crew meetings to ensure effective communication.
  • Report any disciplinary concerns to management and the Union Steward.
  • Provide quarterly check-ins and annual performance reviews for all assigned personnel.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

      SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

      • Basic computer skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Ability to operate grounds equipment.
      • Knowledge of landscaping techniques and plant care.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

      • Must be able to do the following: stoop, kneel, reach, lift, walk, weed whack, and sit.
      • Some climbing and balancing.
      • High noise levels are shared with general maintenance.
      • Must have the ability to maintain assigned work hours.
      • Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT

      • This role requires work in a non-office setting, outdoors, and industrial locations.
      • Work requires exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.
      • Required the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
      • We require wearing personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, a fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, a hard hat, and hearing protection.

      SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

      • Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and drug test.
      • Must be cleared for base or site access.
      • Must possess a valid Driver’s License. CDL is preferred.
      • You must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
      • Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
      • Must be a legal U.S. Resident per contract.
      • Must be able to communicate clearly in English per contract.
