Job Summary:

EDG DIGITAL is looking for anexperienced digital system specialist to support exciting projects in oil andgas, chemicals, renewables, power and manufacturing markets. The solutionarchitect will manage and support study delivery with a focus on specializedimplementation of digital systems and data integrations across the portfolio ofEDG services. The candidate will also drive internal development of approaches,systems and solutions across EDG.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads consulting activities with clients to frame problem statements, ideate options, prioritize initiatives and develop implementation roadmaps based on sound business plans and KPIs
  • Provides leadership to client project teams to deliver digital outcomes across operational disciplines
  • Delivers technical outcomes as part of projects with a focus on agile delivery, deep domain expertise and pragmatic solutions
  • Work closely with others in a team but also autonomously deliver with little direction.
  • Utilize analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills for client projects and to drive team performance.
  • Deliver projects including gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing recommendations for presentation to client management with subsequent implementation
  • Integration of information management, technologies and solutions
  • Provide expertise in operational and enterprise systems, data connectors, and system architecture
  • Guide clients in digital change management including solution development, deployment and maintenance
  • Focal point for internal technical initiatives and drives development of solutions across the EDG portfolio
  • Creation of thought leadership articles and development of relevant insights
  • Represent EDG at conferences and trade events to highlight the capabilities of the digital group
  • Interacts directly with client on all project and technical matters
  • Support business development and liaise directly with clients for the development of proposals


Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similardiscipline preferred;

• Ten (10) plus years of technical engineeringand/or consulting experience in asset intensive industries;

• Extensive knowledge in engineering and operationalrequirements of industries and broad knowledge of consulting, changemanagement, supply chain, and project economics;

• Proven record of development and delivery of operationalsystems, data connectivity solutions and enterprise architecture

• Experience with digital system framing, development,configuration and deployment including use case development and prioritization,roadmap construction and business case development

• Sound knowledge of digital tools and techniquesincluding database management, machine learning and data science

• Skill in oral and written communication;

• Strong organizational skills related toengineering activities.

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations;

• Field duties require outdoor work in aconstruction site or in plant type atmosphere;

• Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel;

• Working on a construction site or in plantand/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels

• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;

• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes;

• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.

• Must be able to lift and carry five (20) pounds;

• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing orother communication capabilities which permits employee to communicateeffectively;

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;

• Sufficient vision or other powers of observationwhich permits employee to conduct analysis and investigations;

• Sufficient manual dexterity which permit theemployee to perform routine office duties;

• Sufficient personal mobility and physicalreflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-sitelocations.
