Description Overview

We are seeking a skilled process engineer with a strong foundation in continuous improvement methodologies to optimize corporate compliance and enhance the overall functionality of Perrigo Work Systems (PWS). This role operates within a cross-functional environment, ensuring plan optimization and sustained improvements across various business functions.

Salary range: $90,000- $120,000

Scope of the Role

  • Collaborate with operations and support teams to implement and sustain process improvements.
  • Support work system practices (PWS), serve as a technology solution liaison (RedZone), and facilitate visual management and training on tools and standards.
  • Drive efficiency improvements through Kaizen and lean methodologies, identifying and eliminating nonvalue-added activities.
  • Focus improvement efforts on areas such as:
    • Customer changeovers
    • Cleaning and setup of production equipment
    • Process loss and labor utilization
    • Machine utilization and operator-driven reliability (ODR)
  • Collaboration with project engineering to develop new production equipment with quick changeovers and reduced downtime
  • Implement lean practices to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), operator efficiency, and machine capabilities.
  • Lead and influence change across multiple departments by establishing and maintaining factory standards.
  • Leverage a strong 5S skillset to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and ensure successful execution.
  • Identify, analyze, and report new sources of data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Quantify the value of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, tools, and methodologies.
  • Experience in high-volume, complex manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel – including macros).
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze equipment capabilities, operational flows, and data effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Five or more years of experience in industrial or process engineering.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
