Title: Employer Partnerships Specialist

General Summary: The Employer Partnerships Specialist is part of an office that is responsible for supporting career-integrated learning at Middlesex Community College (MCC). In addition to providing support to the Dean of OCIL, the Coordinator will provide services critical to expanding MCC's Learn and Earn program, an initiative to bring paid work-based learning opportunities to students across MCC. The Employer Partnerships Specialist will spend their time engaging employers and collaborating with faculty and OCIL staff to develop and market paid work-based opportunities to MCC students. In addition, the Employer Partnerships Specialists will be responsible for maintaining systems to track employer relationships and student engagement in Learn & Earn. They will also be charged with consistent review of labor market data using LightCast and other means of identifying opportunities in the local labor market. This position will also work with other members of the OCIL team to provide training for faculty and staff in the development of employer partnerships and effective employer advisory boards.
By emphasizing high quality and innovative delivery and through thoughtful collaboration with employers, faculty, students and staff, the Employer Partnerships Specialist will support MCC's goal of providing career-integrated learning for students. Duties and Responsibilities:
3-5 years of demonstrated successful experience in business development and engaging employers in a college or workforce development setting; or experience in a talent acquisition or business development role.
Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the community college mission and student population.
Demonstrated experience in equity-centered programming.
Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to identify, implement and maintain the technology systems necessary to support the work.
Ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, advisory and/or design data and information.
Outstanding written and oral communications skills.
Bilingual skills a plus: Spanish or Khmer preferred
Salary Range: $72,000 - $82,000 actual salary commensurate with academic background and experience. Employees of Middlesex Community College are considered employees of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and receive benefits, which include:
Location: Lowell campus with occasional travel to Bedford as needed
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire, This position will be eligible for a maximum of one day of telework in accordance with the College's telework policy.
