Overview
Pharmaceutical care principles. Disease related modification of drug therapy.
-Project management skills and experience in contemporary medication use systems and electronic medical record systems.
-Strong interpersonal communication skills.
-Systematic problem solving skills.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Competency in patient interviewing and teaching skills.
-Excellent knowledge of third party payors, insurance billing, and prior authorization guidelines of specialty medication.
-Working knowledge and skills using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access programs.
-Successfully completes initial and continued competencies as required for maintenance of standard of practice, legal regulatory compliance and OHSU policies.Experience in specialty pharmacy practice, including hemophilia/bleeding disorders either inpatient or outpatient.
Inpatient hospital pharmacy practice.
Three years of health system experience.
Experience in managing hemophilia patients in an ambulatory setting.
Experience with factor product prescriptions, labeling and documentation in CareTend and Epic.
Specialist Certifications (BCPS, BCOPS, etc.).
State of Oregon Pharmacy Preceptor licensure.
