Position Overview:
The Manager of our Regional location will establish and formulate the regional business strategy and plan on an annual basis to position and achieve specific business goals and objectives. This role will also direct and manage the sales, specification and operations staff and implement plans to grow sales of all Wilsonart products sold in the region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop customer base, regional sales and marketing programs.
• Oversee the distribution of the product to the customers.
• Establish annual goals for each sales person.
• Develop the abilities of the sales personnel.
• Train, monitor, check and approve the financial status of the region.
• Review and analyze monthly financial statements.
• Network with direct accounts and distributor principals.
• Conduct warehouse, office and sales meetings.
• Work with the sales staff to establish sales goals for Independent Distributors.
• Conduct quarterly review meetings with Independent Distributors to review progress toward annual sales goals and adjust strategies as needed.
• Work with the sales staff to establish specific product sales goals for each OEM or Metro account customer.
• Target specific accounts for new product sales or increased penetration of existing sales.
• Monitor and approve sales representative expense accounts.
• Monitor sales reps weekly call reports using our CRM.
• Determine which local trade shows Wilsonart should be involved in. Budget, plan staffing and participate in the show.
• Develop and analyze sales reports to determine where both growth and decline in sales is occurring.
• Implement price increases and react to competitive activity with proper documentation.
• Conduct periodic sales meetings to review current sales, product and marketing efforts.
• Satisfy customer needs while looking after the best interests of the Wilsonart enterprise.
• Perform other tasks as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of the product and its marketing performance.
• Knowledge of marketing principles.
• Proficiency with various technologies, including Microsoft applications, as well as CRM tools.
• Ability to communicate well in oral, virtual and written form with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage people.
• Ability to sell products.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree Required or equivalent combination of education and experience; 1yr experience may substitute for 1yr of degree
Bachelors Degree should be in Business Administration/Marketing or a closely related field
EXPERIENCE:
• 4+ years of outside sales experience
• 1+ year of sales management experience.
• Experience in a similar industry to Wilsonart is a plus.
• Experience running a regional distribution facility servicing independent distribution partners is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
