Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as its Director of Strategic Initiatives. The Director is a leadership position, serving as a critical driver of innovation and growth within the college. The Director will have two primary roles: (1) provide strategic planning, operational oversight, and administrative programming for the college’s transformational gift; and (2) support the college’s land-grant engagement activities by coordinating the engagement operations team and serving as a liaison to university partners.
The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal and communication skills and a detail-oriented, team-based approach. Key responsibilities include:
  • Administrative Leadership: Guide the development and execution of college-wide strategies aligned with strategic goals and land-grant engagement priorities.
  • Strategic Communication: Represent the college across the university and with key partners, including other colleges and UK Healthcare.
  • Engagement Coordination: Manage and execute initiatives that strengthen stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Partnership Development: Lead strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders to maximize the fund’s reach and effectiveness.
  • Budget Oversight: Ensure responsible and impactful use of resources through careful financial planning and reporting.
