Warehouse Associate

What You Will Do:

Responsible for maintaining and coordinating all warehouse equipment and inventory, including receipt and storage of goods, organization of the inventory and tools, and entering appropriate receipt documentation into computer system; handles miscellaneous errands as requested and light janitorial duties.

Main Duties:

• Receive all new materials into warehouse area and store in the appropriate/designated storage locations.

• Perform minor handheld troubleshooting/repairs.

• Perform weekly clean-up and ensure warehouse is kept clean and organized at all times.

• Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse, shop and production area; including sweeping, dusting, and emptying garbage and recycle barrels; keep all areas in front of warehouse doors clear of snow/ice, and any other debris.

• Participate as a member of the company safety committee and help to enforce all company and customer-required safety policies and procedures.

• Propose reasonable solutions, make logical decisions, carry-out decisions made, and follow up on feedback where applicable

• Help to ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and brings any safety problems to the attention of the Project Manager/Supervisor or HR department.

Work Requirements:

• A valid and applicable state driver’s license (or ability to obtain a driver's license prior to employment).

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1 yr of Warehouse experience highly preferred.

• Forklift experience required

• Excellent communication and organizational skills required, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively and efficiently under pressure and timed deadlines.

• Analyze, interpret and troubleshoot problems (not just symptoms).

• Must be able to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to interact with a variety of people.

Work Status & Shift: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 1st Shift Hours

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, and the individual in this position is subject to variable weather conditions that include inclement weather, rain, extreme heat and humidity, with regular exposure to dust. Prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling are often necessary. A regular exposure to injury exists due to frequent work with moving mechanical parts, sharp or rough materials, and working in situations where there is risk of slips and falls. Need to be able to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
