Our vision is to advance spatial data acquisition, improve analysis capabilities, and develop predictive analytics to redefine and transform how infrastructure assets are developed and managed throughout their lifecycles.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Technician to support a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in Civil 3D, mapping utilities, GPS data collection, and geospatial data management. This role involves working with as-built drawings, construction plans, recorded maps, deeds, legal descriptions, and various engineering documents to ensure accurate representation within GIS databases. The Office Technician will also support GIS analysis, data validation, and map production to enhance client projects and internal operations.

Data Integration: Assist with interpreting as-built drawings, construction plans, engineering plans, recorded maps, deeds, legal descriptions, imagery, and related source documents. Incorporate these into GIS using methods such as coordinate geometry (COGO), digitizing, and GPS data processing
Mapping and Layer Maintenance: Create and maintain multiple GIS layers, including parcels, streets, rights-of-way, zoning, development layers, and water and sewer system layers, ensuring data is up-to-date and accurate
Quality Assurance & Control: Follow quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes to perform routine data management tasks, including data validation, correction, queries, and editing in GIS systems to guarantee data accuracy, integrity, and completeness
GIS Analysis and Map Production: Assist with GIS and data analysis, prepare and execute spatial queries, and produce high-quality maps, spreadsheets, graphs, and other analytical products as needed for project planning and reporting
Field Data Collection: Conduct field research and GPS data collection, ensuring spatial accuracy and proper documentation of site conditions and project requirements
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of GIS data modifications, analysis results, and project progress. Generate reports and visual representations for stakeholders as required
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to ensure GIS data aligns with project specifications and client needs
Associate's degree in Geography, GIS, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is a plus
Basic knowledge of Civil 3D, ArcGIS, or other geospatial tools; coursework or internship experience is acceptable
Familiarity with GPS data collection, digitizing, and coordinate geometry (COGO) is preferred
Understanding of GIS principles, mapping utilities, and spatial data analysis
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, legal descriptions, and construction plans
