We are seeking a skilled Enterprise SharePoint Administrator with experience in data governance to manage and optimize our SharePoint environments. You will provide technical leadership, enforce governance and compliance protocols, and support our staff with best practices, training, and troubleshooting. Your goal will be to ensure a secure, high-performing, and compliant digital collaboration platform. 

What you will do:

  • Administration & Management: Administer and maintain SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 services
  • Configuration & Monitoring: Configure and manage SharePoint site collections, document libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions; monitor system health, performance, and security
  • Information Architecture: Define and enforce site structures, taxonomy, and metadata strategies to ensure consistency, findability, and compliance across all SharePoint environments.
  • Development & Integration: Customize and enhance SharePoint functionalities using Power Automate and PowerApps; integrate SharePoint with other enterprise applications
  • User Support & Training: Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution; develop documentation, and conduct technical and governance training sessions 
  • Governance & Compliance Strategy: Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of SharePoint governance frameworks and policies. Collaborate with stakeholders to align site provisioning, metadata management, content lifecycle, and data classification with organizational standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., retention and privacy policies).
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure SharePoint security settings align with organizational policies and industry regulations; manage access controls, user permissions, and authentication protocols
  • Audit and Policy Development: Conduct routine audits of SharePoint environments to ensure data accuracy, security compliance, and adherence to data governance policies. Maintain documentation for data handling and access protocols

 

What you will bring:

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in administering and managing SharePoint environments, along with proficiency in Microsoft 365, Power Automate, and PowerApps
  • Security and Compliance: Strong knowledge of security best practices, governance, and compliance for SharePoint.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and documentation skills to effectively support and guide the team.
  • Leadership and Direction: Ability to provide leadership and direction, guiding the team in best practices and strategic initiatives.

 

Minimum Education:

The minimum education requirement for the SharePoint Administrator position is a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, equivalent experience in the field may also be considered.

 

Minimum Preferred Experience:

  • 3-5+ years managing complex SharePoint environments along with proficiency in Microsoft technologies and scripting languages like PowerShell.
  • SharePoint Certifications: Having certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate is highly preferred.
  • Enterprise-Level SharePoint Migrations: Experience with large-scale SharePoint migrations is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Related Technologies: Knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, and Power BI is advantageous.
  • PowerShell for SharePoint: Proficiency in using PowerShell for SharePoint administration and automation.
