Cloud Engineer, Senior - Military veterans preferred

RMC is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in cloud infrastructure design and implementation to support various business initiatives and workloads in a compliant and secure environment.

Duties Include:

• Assist A&A team to develop technical documentation required for ATO submission(s)

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure to support RDT&E workloads
• Automate infrastructure leveraging Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) to minimize overhead required to support cloud and hybrid cloud environment
• Help develop best practices and policies for hybrid cloud environment.
• Maintain and further develop COSMOS pilot program for ITD’s customers to have a prototyping environment

• Experience in cloud engineering or related technical roles, specifically within Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with cloud-native application design, deployment, and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Proficiency in automation scripts using Python, Terraform, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including compliance requirements for government environments (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure performance and reliability of cloud workloads.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude to identify and address potential issues in cloud infrastructure.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
• Level 3 IAT Cert (CASP+, CCNP, CISA, CISSP)

Security Clearance:

• An active DoD Secret clearance or higher is required.

• The selected applicant must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $80,000 to $120,000 (annually).
