We are looking for a Accounting Specialist to join Corporate Tax team in Maastricht.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

As an Accounting Specialist in Financial Accounting, you will play a vital role in supporting our international business by ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and reporting of monthly financial statements for various European DHL entities, in compliance with IFRS and corporate policies. Your responsibilities will include a range of critical accounting functions, such as:

• Preparing and following up on balance sheet accounts and maintaining the chart of accounts.
• Performing account and sub-ledger reconciliations, as well as supporting the analytical review of the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
• Preparing and processing accruals and provisions while executing month-end closing activities according to a defined schedule.

In addition to these core tasks, you will provide essential financial information to local finance teams and internal/external auditors, and assist in the preparation of statutory reporting in accordance with local GAAP from IFRS group accounting records. Your role will also involve resource planning and ensuring the quality of work performed by your team.

Key aspects of your position will include:

• Inspiring, motivating, and developing team members and colleagues.
• Meeting agreed KPIs with Business Partners and ensuring delivery as per SLA.
• Identifying and developing continuous improvement ideas to enhance efficiencies within the Service Line.
• Acting as a deputy in the absence of the Team manager for operational tasks and set day-to-day KPI's to ensure operational management of the team is effectively maintained.
