Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Electrician to join our team at our Distribution Center in Lodi, CA. The Distribution Center is a 1.5m sq. ft. packaging, labeling and distribution facility with approximately 400 employees. The DC operation supports both retail and foodservice customers and labels, cases, and ships nationwide approximately fifty (50) million cases every year. Pay Rate: $39.04 per hour. Full time/ 40 hours per week with some weekend and overtime hours required when needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and requires work on various shifts.

Key responsibilities include:

  •  Ensure operation of electrical equipment by completing preventative maintenance on all equipment and machinery.
  •  Make layout of electrical circuits.
  •  Make up material and parts lists.
  •  Do or direct all maintenance wiring, installation of motors, switches, switch panels, fuse boxes, lighting, testing and power circuits. Basic circuit installations may include laying out and bending conduit, pulling wire, land wiring, testing, and finalizing  circuit installation
  •  Determine proper size and specifications of wire, conduit, switches, panels, fuses, transformers, etc.
  •  Must be able to read and understand blueprints and circuit diagrams.
  •  Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, switch panels, circuit breakers, transformers, fuse panels, lighting, heating, and power circuits. Make preventative and running repairs and corrections.
  •  Do or direct installation, connection, adjustment, and calibration of electrical gauges and recording instruments. Conduct system testing using electrical circuit instrumentation or devices.
  •  Applicable licensing a plus.
  •  May supervise other electricians.
  •  Make repairs on ignition and electrical systems of automotive equipment and rewind motors.
  •  May rewind motors.

Requirements:

  • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  •  Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience.
  •  Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Utilize communication skills to interact with colleagues and internal customers.
  •  Must possess and use personal hand tools.
  •  Demonstrable experience leading electrical installation tasks; designing and building control and electrical panels; and installing sub-stations and medium voltage panels and transformers.
  •  Skilled with creating and reviewing applicable drawings and schematics.
  •  Familiar with NEC and UL Standards, electrical abbreviations, symbols.
  •  Able to install, program, and troubleshoot VFDs.
  •  Background in solid state circuitry and devices, high voltage D.C. rectifiers and control circuits. 
  •  Basic hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding knowledge and experience.
