Currently, we are looking for a passionate and energetic Shift Supervisor to be based in the Operations Team. In this role, the successful candidate will  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate development and implementation of operations strategy and plans. 
  • Draft and execute plans to deliver agreed customer, service, quality and financial objectives for the assigned site/ work stations(s). 
  • Monitor the day-to-day operations of the team to provide smooth logistics operations. 
  • Supervise and resolve issues in delivery of activities of receiving, handling and dispatching stations and registered mailings to ensure smooth operational flow. 
  • Ensure planning and management of human resources (including outsourced labor/ agents), materials and logistics infrastructure to deliver logistics services. 
  • Support other team members, particularly supervisor of operations, as required and provide backup for absence/ peaks in operational activities.
  • Conduct regular reviews with customers on operational performance and delivery against the agreed performance objectives.
  • Support business development/ account management on contractual/ commercial issues and customer renewal planning.
  • Identify and propose opportunities to grow business with and retain existing customer base, and support development and execution of customer business plan. 
  • Contribute to development of and coordinate operating processes, site infrastructure, equipment, IT systems, operating structure, etc. to deliver targeted capacities. 
  • Communicate policies and ensure compliance with company/ local statutory obligations and legislation related to safety, health, security environment & quality .
  • Detect issues, identify opportunities and implement practices focusing on delivering site improvement and enhanced productivity.

 

 

 

Job Skills, Qualifications & Experience: 

 

  1. Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree – in English curriculum. 

Additional Qualification (not mandatory)  

  • Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management 
  • Business Administration (with a focus on logistics or operations) 
  • English, Communication, 
  1. Professional Experience:
  • Experience in Logistics Documentation (at least 3-5 years) with a strong understanding of the logistics and supply chain processes. 
  • Leadership Experience (at least 3-5 years) managing teams, especially in documentation, logistics, or supply chain operations. 
  • Experience with Logistics Management Systems: Familiarity with tools such as WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is essential. 
  • Proven Experience with Documentation: Understanding how to create, organize, and manage various forms of logistics documentation mainly Jebel Ali. 
  1. Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Documentation Tools: Familiarity with software like Microsoft Office, Power BI  
  • Understanding of Data and Reporting: Ability to analyze data and produce accurate, clear, and comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., performance reports, logistics metrics). 
  • Basic Technical Knowledge of Logistics Software: Understanding of logistics-specific software and tools, such as WMS, and ERP systems, 
  1. Leadership and Management Skills:
  • Team Leadership: Experience managing and mentoring a team of documentation specialists, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and on time. 
  • Project Management: Capability to oversee multiple projects, organize team workflows, and ensure deadlines are met. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with logistics, warehouse, transportation, and operations teams to ensure that documentation is accurate and in compliance with industry standards. 
  • Conflict Resolution: Effective in managing team dynamics, resolving conflicts, and ensuring smooth team operations. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Ability to evaluate team performance and provide feedback for development. 
  1. Communication Skills:
  • Excellent Written Communication: Strong skills in creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation that aligns with logistics procedures, regulations, and internal standards. 
  • Clear Verbal Communication: Capability to present ideas clearly, communicate documentation needs across teams, and hold team meetings effectively. 
  • Collaboration: Skilled in working with various teams (logistics, operations, IT, legal, and compliance) to gather input and ensure accuracy of documents. 
  1. Knowledge of Logistics Processes & Regulations:
  • Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of the end-to-end logistics process, including inventory management, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and order fulfillment. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of compliance requirements such as customs regulations, international shipping laws, and industry certifications (e.g., ISO,  
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Understanding how documentation fits into supply chain management and how it can help improve operational efficiency. 
  1. Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics,  
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certifications to show leadership and management capability.

  • Attention to Detail: Critical for ensuring documentation is accurate, thorough, and compliant with regulations. 
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve documentation challenges, optimize workflows, and handle complex logistics scenarios. 
  • Time Management: Ensuring that all documentation tasks are completed on time, especially in a fast-paced logistics environment. 
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changes in logistics processes, new tools, or regulations and implement those changes into documentation practices. 
  1. Additional Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with Automation Tools: Familiarity with automation software used for document management or data entry in logistics (e.g., Robotic Process Automation or AI-powered systems).
