Position Summary:
The Vice President (VP) of National Accounts - Oncology and Digital Health will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and management of national accounts within the oncology space, as well as leading the strategic digital health initiatives aimed at improving oncology care delivery. This executive will oversee GPO relationships, key national oncology partnerships, ensure successful implementation of digital health solutions across healthcare systems, and lead efforts to establish and grow business opportunities within oncology.
This leadership role requires extensive expertise in oncology, strong experience in digital health technologies, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across the healthcare ecosystem, including hospitals, EHR/PHM stakeholders, and other key partners.
Core Responsibilities:
National Oncology Accounts Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategies for managing and growing key national oncology accounts, including hospitals, oncology treatment centers, and other key stakeholders.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with senior executives at key accounts to influence decision-making and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead negotiations and business development efforts to secure and expand key oncology accounts.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and medical affairs teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet the needs of national oncology accounts.
- Partner with sales to ensure customer level execution strategies are defined and executed
Digital Health Implementation:
- Lead a digital health team to develop and execute strategies within the oncology care delivery setting
- Oversee the implementation of digital health solutions in oncology care, focusing on technologies such as interoperability/interfaces, patient management platforms, AI-driven diagnostics, and data analytics tools.
- Drive the adoption of digital health products across oncology practices, helping providers and patients adopt new technologies for improved outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to ensure smooth integration of digital solutions into existing healthcare infrastructures.
- Monitor the effectiveness of digital health solutions and drive continuous improvement to meet clinical and operational goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of key account managers, digital health professionals, and cross-functional partners support to ensure alignment and high performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the oncology accounts and digital health teams.
- Provide coaching, development, and performance management for team members to maximize their potential.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis:
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging digital health technologies in oncology.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on market developments and opportunities for growth in the oncology and digital health space.
- Lead efforts to assess the needs of oncology stakeholders and recommend digital health solutions tailored to those needs.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the budget for the national oncology accounts and digital health initiatives.
- Ensure that financial targets are met and develop strategies to improve financial performance across both areas.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including product development, marketing, field sales, and the executive team, to ensure alignment on strategic goals.
- Collaborate with external partners to drive innovation and expand business opportunities in oncology.
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sciences and Master’s Degree Preferred
- 10+ years’ Oncology large account experience
- At least 5 years’ experience leading digital health initiatives, preferably in oncology.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex accounts and driving growth in the oncology market.
- Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, telemedicine platforms, and digital health technologies used in oncology.
- Experience with cross-functional team leadership, strategic planning, and financial management.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience
- Exceptional and demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executives, partners, and stakeholders in the oncology and digital heath ecosystems.
- Proven ability to work well with and influence peers, sales teams and management
- Existing relationships with key decision makers and influencers in health systems and oncology accounts
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Expertise in digital health solutions and their integration into clinical environments.
- In-depth knowledge of oncology care models, treatment protocols, and healthcare reimbursement structures.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage analytics to drive business decisions.
