Clinical Counselor



Job Summary

Provides targeted, advanced-level, clinical counseling, psychotherapy, cognitive rehabilitation and/or behavioral health services addressing a range of mental health concerns for a diverse population of students/clients utilizing specialized techniques to foster development, remediate mental health problems, and promote positive mental health. Facilitates comprehensive assessments and treatments, referrals for hospitalizations, and/or case reviews.


Essential Functions

• Assist with ongoing administrative aspects of the study including documentation of the clinical contact (intake and progress notes) and communication with the research team regarding the patient.

• Assist with the research or clinical team’s responsibilities occasionally (e.g., data abstraction, data management).

• Attend weekly meetings pertaining to research and patients with the Principal Investigator and other team members

• Assist with research related activities (e.g., literature review, manuscript or presentation preparation, study start up documentation, hand outs).

• Interact with staff inside and outside the University and may include interpreting, explaining, issues and assistance with problems solving.
