Job Summary
The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the Process Engineers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Evaluate products and prepare operational plans to be used by manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain robust manufacturing processes, document process changes, drive process improvements, develop and correct time standards and improve cycle times.
- Troubleshoot problems on the shop floor and develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and cycle times.
- Manage multiple projects and provide engineering support where required.
- Provide technical support and effectively interact with customers and all departments - manufacturing, sales, purchasing, quality, and program management.
- Ensure that all manufacturing design, processes and technical data are complete and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical/historical base for future reference and to meet customer/end user requirements.
- Completion of any work related task in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Junior, Senior, or recently graduated
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Work effectively in a team environment and maintain flexibility
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft Office
- Blueprint Reading and Interpretation
- Specification Reading and Interpretation
- Experience in the following is a plus:
- Drafting
- Use of an ERP System
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for long periods of time
- Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
