CALIBRE is an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation Company, looking for a qualified individual to serve as Training Developer Level I to work at the Army Force Management School (AFMS), Fort Belvoir, VA. The principal function of the Training Developer I is to implement the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) process for a given portfolio of AFMS courses.

The Training Developer level I duties include, but are not limited to:

· Enter lesson plans in the Training and Doctrine Command’s Training Development Capability (TDC)

· Develop training materials to support AFMS training programs

· Develop, maintain, and update the Training Development SOP

· Design and develop training courses and / or lessons requiring instructional design

· Refine and or create Programs of Instruction (POI), Lesson Plans, and any other associated course content ICW the instructor / facilitator

· Conduct studies of courses or other significant matters such as instructional methods, failure and attrition, and other issues affecting many personnel.

· Prepares interpretations of results and recommendations. Establishes study and evaluation criteria and develops conclusions and/or recommendations.

· High degree of knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of training and development programs and initiatives.

· Prepare reports and briefings as required.


  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Two to three years’ experience serving as a training developer within a DoD school or commercial educational institution.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in handling IT systems
  • Must be able and willing to plan, coordinate, integrate, and prepare staffing actions at the high-quality standard.
  • Ability to work in team settings, communicate, and collaborate with multiple organizations.
  • Excellent oral communications skills.
  • Excellent written communications skills with the ability to write reports and briefings.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, multi-task, and prioritize to meet multiple consecutive deadlines.
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel and Teams.

  • Associate’s degree appropriate to the work of the position to be filled.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience with Distributed Learning portfolios in a DoD educational setting
